Bubble Sizes

Small (3/16"):
The standard. Dishes, glasses, small electronics, picture frames. Good surface protection without bulk.

Medium (5/16"):
More cushion for moderately fragile items. Small appliances, ceramics, decorative items.

Large (1/2"):
Maximum protection for valuable fragiles. Monitors, artwork, vases, antiques. Uses more material but worth it for irreplaceable items.

### How Much Do You Need?

Rule of thumb: 1 foot of bubble wrap per fragile item, plus overage for double-wrapping valuables.

Kitchen only: 50-75 feet
- 1 bedroom apartment: 75-100 feet
- 2-3 bedroom house: 150-200 feet
- Glass/artwork heavy: Add 50%

### Wrapping Technique

1. Bubbles face in toward the item (debate exists, but this is the pro way)
2. Double wrap valuable items
3. Secure with tape, not just tucked ends
4. Fill box gaps with crumpled bubble wrap

### Alternatives Worth Considering

Packing paper: Cheaper for dishes, less cushion but prevents scratches.
